The Apotheosis of Neo

Although rumors of Neo being "The One" are brought up throughout The Matrix, he is truly idolized as this special person after he proves his ability to do what the Agents can do and save Morpheus. He finds the power to overcome speeding bullets and shape-shift into an alternate person. There was a prophecy foretold of a non-agent being who could perform such powers but Neo proves his credibility when he defeats the attack of the villain, Agent Smith, and save his mentor, Morpheus. His power is proven again when Trinity, the love interest, reveals that a prophecy told by the Oracle said that she would fall in love with the chosen one. She follows this statement with a kiss on the lips of Neo. After Neo knows his capabilities he displays them by using his powers to turn into the villain and destroy him from within.
